Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Bjiru, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Use of the app

Bjiru is a training journal and gym directory for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioners. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with applicable law.

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the platform, or use Bjiru in any way that could harm other users or the service.

Accounts and user content

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the training notes and other content you add to Bjiru.

You retain ownership of your content. By using Bjiru, you grant us the limited rights needed to store, display, and process your content so the app can function.

Bjiru Premium subscriptions

Bjiru Premium (Bjiru Pro) is an optional, auto-renewing subscription. It raises the photo and video limits on your training notes, as described in the app at the time of purchase. Bjiru remains free to use without it.

Payment. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or from Manage subscription in the app. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your Bjiru account does not cancel the subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests are handled by them under their policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.
Price changes. If the price changes, you will be notified as required by the App Store or Google Play before it applies to your subscription.
Changes to Premium. We may improve or change Premium features over time. If we materially reduce what Premium includes, we will tell you in advance so you can decide whether to keep your subscription.
One account. Premium is linked to the Bjiru account you were signed in to when you subscribed. Restoring a purchase on another Bjiru account moves Premium to that account.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Bjiru is provided on an "as is" basis. Gym listings, schedules, and other directory information may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm details directly with the academy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted here with an updated date. Continuing to use Bjiru after a change means you accept the updated terms.
